Woman in Labor Didn’t Get to Have Her Mother There for Support Because Mother-in-law Refused to Pick Her Up, Causing Rift in the Family
There are certain moments in life that can't be redone. Weddings, births, graduations. There are crucial and important days that can't be redone, replicated, or understood from afar. If you miss out on your best friend's wedding, chances are you won't be able to see them get married again. It's these moments in life that make us understand who's really there for us.
This brings us to the Reddit thread. A woman is going into labor, and both sides of the families have agreed on the protocol for when it happens. Husband's mom is supposed to pick up mom's mom, other children, and grandmother. Then when the big day comes, she refuses to pick them up. Her excuse? 'It's 9:30 pm, we should let them sleep.' Not a very good excuse in my book…and even cruel. Luckily, the mother gets there in time to be with her daughter while she's in labor.
